This product is the “Ming Artisan – Original Palmiers Gift Box”, containing 32 original-flavor palmiers (8 packs). Produced by Imperial Patisserie (Hong Kong), this palmier has won the Monde Selection World Quality Awards – Grand Gold Award, earning international recognition.
The palmier series was developed through the dedicated research of Michelin master chef Lai Wing Koon, known for creative innovation and for combining Eastern and Western ingredients. Made with 100% natural French butter, it delivers a naturally rich buttery aroma and a smooth mouthfeel. Using a variety of fresh ingredients and containing no eggs, the palmiers are paired with a carefully crafted puff pastry to create a fragrant, light, and crispy treat—“Hong Kong people’s No.1 favorite palmier*”—and are also suitable for vegans.
The production process uses four-stage baking:
- Bake at 110°C (low temperature) to evaporate excess moisture in the pastry, melt the fats, and release a rich buttery aroma.
- Increase to 150°C to ensure each layer expands evenly and the pastry is baked through, with no leavening agents added.
- Increase to 180°C to quickly bake the pastry until crisp.
- Finish at 220°C (high temperature) to caramelize the surface.
Chef Lai also carefully adjusted the method and size of the palmiers to highlight their signature crispness and buttery fragrance.
