Our Story
Imperial Patisserie was founded in Hong Kong in 2018,
adhering to the concept of inheriting traditional pastries while boldly
innovating and evolving. Combining craftsmanship with modern technology, with a
focus on producing high-quality pastries in its own factory in Hong Kong. Our
Michelin-starred Master Chef Team, including Master Chef Yip Wing Wah, the
founder of The Peninsula Hotel's custard mooncakes, and Master Chef Lai Wing
Koon, a Michelin 2-starred chef and the only inheritor of Chef Yip Wing Wah.
They meticulously handpicked quality ingredients, to bringing out the natural
tastes and create a wide range of products including Mooncake Series, Palmiers
Series, and the Hong Kong Story souvenir series representing Hong Kong's unique
characteristics, establishing a Hong Kong souvenir brand that locals can be
proud of.
In 2022, Imperial Patisserie launched the light luxury
brand "Ming Artisan," producing a series of high-quality food
products using natural ingredients. The packaging features bright colors
combined with a fresh and minimalist design, showcasing the pursuit of a
refined lifestyle. With Hong Kong as its base, Ming Artisan has expanded its
business to Shanghai, Macao, Singapore, and other locations, aiming to
demonstrate the excellent quality of Hong Kong-made products on the world
stage.

Our pastries are 100% made in Hong Kong. Our Factory has obtained the ISO 22000:2018, HACCP and GMP certifications. Also, we have obtained the Halal certification, which verifies that our products meet the Halal standard and do not contain pork, lard, or any of their processed ingredients. We have undergone strict approval and supervision by relevant certification agencies to ensure that our food ingredients, production processes, packaging, and storage meet the required specifications, food quality and hygiene standards.
In 2019, Imperial Patisserie’s Lava Mooncake was awarded the Grand Gold in Monde Selection. This was a historic achievement as it was the first time a mooncake had ever won this honor and we are also honored to receive this recognition for a sixth consecutive year. We have achieved the highest level of “Grand Gold Award” in 2024 Monde Selection for both mooncakes and pastry series, including lava mooncakes, traditional mooncakes, eggroll, palmiers and crispy cookies. This is the first time in the 62-year history record of the Monde Selection that one single Hong Kong pastry brand can have this recognition.
Imperial Patisserie has committed to using only the freshest ingredients to providing high-quality products. We have received 3 stars at the 2022 A.A.Taste Awards, which commend those who use less or even exclude artificial food additives and dedicate to providing products and dishes with great flavour.
Our retail shops are accredited by the QTS Scheme and provide excellent services and a great shopping experience to customers.
